Rockers Five Finger Death Punch have helped raise over $100,000 for U.S. Army veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) by asking fans to donate to the cause in return for a T-shirt.

The group had hoped to raise $50,000 by offering up limited edition shirts designed by guitarist Zoltan Bathory on crowd-sourcing website Indiegogo.com, but devotees signed up in their droves after watching the group’s harrowing new video for “Wrong Side of Heaven” – and the target was exceeded in a day.

After two days, the figure had doubled and the initial run of shirts ran out.

All proceeds from the ongoing initiative will benefit organizations that have joined forces with the group to raise awareness about veterans suffering from PTSD.
