You probably know by now that I’m a huge NFL fan and if you didn’t know, I’m also a huge NFL Draft fan. For those NOT in the know, The NFL Draft is a 7 round/3 day event where all 32 NFL teams pick players from college to add to their rosters. Peyton Manning was picked 1st overall in 1998 and won 2 Super Bowls. Tom Brady was picked 199th overall in 2000 and won 6 titles New England + 1 with Tampa Bay. Brock Purdy went last in the 2022 draft. There is no exact science.

This year, the draft is being held in a city near to Des Moines – Kansas City. I happen to have lived in KC for 4 years and was working at a radio station 5 years ago when it was announced the draft was coming to town. I was THRILLED. When we moved to Des Moines in 2019, I still kept “April, 2023” in my head and after last year’s draft, the countdown was ON. I got my new Green Bay Packers shorts and my new Christian Watson jersey and accommodations were made.

AND THEN THIS WAS ANNOUNCED: Motely Crue & Fall Out Boy are playing the draft – FOR FREE.

Are you kidding me!?!?? I LOVE Motely Crue and I’ve never seen Fall Out Boy so this + all of the football (and my wife gifting me 2 days without the children for my birthday) means it’s going to be ON! I can’t wait!
