With the Blank Park Zoo closed to visitors, events, and fundraisers, they need to raise some money, but they want to help you have fun while you help. Below is their new initiative.

Blank Park Zoo Announces Initiative to Make Video Conference Meetings More ‘Wild’

Blank Park Zoo wants to liven up your Zoom meetings. For a small fee, you can invite a sea lion, giraffe, rhino, llama, or a Bactrian camel to your next video conference meeting.

“Video conferencing has become very popular this past month and we have noticed that the animals are missing having visitors at Blank Park Zoo,” said Ryan Bickel, zoo spokesperson. “So we thought why not combine the two as a way to raise funds to care for the animals.”

For $100, you can have a 10-minute visit from a sea lion, giraffe, rhino, llama, or a Bactrian camel, and for $50, you can have a visit from one of the Zoo’s education animals like Squeeze the corn snake, Amborro, the blue and gold macaw or Midnight the rex rabbit. For an additional fee, a Blank Park Zoo educator can present a full educational program to your staff and take questions.

“We think this would be a great way to boost employee morale, and you never know, one of the animals might even spark a great business idea,” said Bickel.

Blank Park Zoo is also making available on its website a number of Blank Park Zoo pictures that can be used as backgrounds on a Zoom conference call.
