“Eddie” is one of the most recognizable mascots in the music world and over the years he’s come in many forms. Now, the Iron Maiden legend is teaming up with the Marvel Universe and Disney to create a new line of merch.

Iron Maiden manager Ron Smallwood said:

“Eddie has long stood shoulder to shoulder with the greatest super-heroes and we’re also pretty proud of the Worlds we created for his many incarnations – from battlefields to Egyptian tombs to frozen icescapes or futuristic cities. Juxtaposing some of the most recognizable characters in pop art & comic book culture into planet Maiden has been an ambition of ours for years and working with Marvel and their unparalleled character-based IP is the perfect fit in this day and age.”

So what does this new partnership mean? To the haters, it’s going to mean Iron Maiden sold out. But considering they’ve been selling over 200 millions albums since 1975, it also means they can do what they bloody well want to. What it really means is that soon the beloved Maiden monster will perhaps appear as our favorite Marvel characters like Thanos, Venom, Thor and more. I for one, can’t wait!

Here’s a peek at some of Eddie’s best on stage moments.

Iron Maiden will kick off their “Legacy of the Beast 2022” tour in May.
