There were two men arguing in a bar over who was a better poet. The bartender says, “How about a contest to see who the better poet is?” The men agree, and the bartender tells the men they must rhyme the word “Timbuktu.”
The first man thinks for a few moments and says aloud, “Slowly across the desert sand, trekked the dusty caravan. Men on camels, two by two. Destination: Timbuktu.”
The crowd cheered, then sat in silence waiting for the second man to go. The second man sat pondering for a while and then stood up and proclaimed, “Tim and me, a-huntin’ we went. Met three girls in a pop-up tent. They was three, we was two, so I bucked one and Timbuktu.”
